In 2008, at the invitation of the Joshua Light Show, she revisited the abstract moving image for a concert at Lincoln Center. Following that concert, she was commissioned to create two private residential moving-image installations. In 2014, Forest City acquired her video, Half & Half & Honey, for permanent display in the lobby of Radian, their residential tower in Boston.
Ms. Denny brings to her work a background in theatrical lighting and projections. Her earliest theatrical projections were done at the American Repertory Theater, Cambridge MA. More recently (2008-present), she has performed live improvised light abstractions as a member of the Joshua Light Show, accompanying Lou Reed, John Zorn, Terry Riley, Television, The Bad Plus, Zeena Parkins, Evelyn Glennie, So Percussion, Oneohtrix Point Never and many more.
Ms. Denny has guest lectured at Harvard, the New School, the School of Visual Arts, the Rhode Island School of Design, Columbia, and Yale.

She studied physics and filmmaking at Harvard, where her thesis film, Saturday Afternoon, was awarded summa cum laude and the Hoopes Prize for outstanding undergraduate thesis work. After graduation she experimented with moving-image abstraction and made documentary films. Her documentaries Girltalk (1987) and Total Baby (1993), both made with Kate Davis, have been shown worldwide to much critical acclaim and are in over 50 public collections.
During the 1990s she started making abstract still photographs. Her
