Ms. Denny brings to her work a background in theatrical lighting and projections, mostly done at the American Repertory Theater, Cambridge, MA. Since 2008 she has been a member of the legendary Joshua Light Show, performing improvised light abstractions with a wide array of musicians from Terry Riley and Lou Reed to So Percussion and Oneohtrix Point Never.
She studied physics and filmmaking at Harvard, where her thesis film, Saturday Afternoon, was awarded summa cum laude and the Hoopes Prize for outstanding undergraduate thesis work.

Her recent moving-image work includes two commissions for private residences. In both cases single-channel video loops are projected directly onto the walls of the homes. In 2014, her video Half & Half & Honey was acquired by Forest City for permanent display in the lobby of their residential tower, Radian Boston.
Her photographs have been shown regularly at the Alan Klotz Gallery, NYC, and the Pamela Williams Gallery, East Hampton, NY, and have been reviewed by the New York Times, The New Yorker, and others. They have been included in publications such as Harper's Magazine and on the cover of the fifth edition (2010) of Robert Hirsch's textbook, Exploring Color Photography.
